Why can’t you meet the right man or woman to fulfill your dreams for a romantic satisfying relationship? Why can’t you find someone who believes in your dreams and wants to invest in your new business or offers you a job you find rewarding and meaningful? Of course the answer is you can! But why isn’t it happening yet?
Yet is a very powerful word you should keep handy because it creates a positive mindset. What the word yet implies is that you have the potential to accomplish your goals and achieve your dreams eventually, and it’s almost certain that you do! Life is a continuum of lessons learned and efforts made that produce a variety of outcomes that hopefully we learn and grow from.
When we get frustrated with our relationships, our financial life or our health issues we sometimes say I can’t get “this” whatever this may be or nothing is working out for me! Practice adding the word “yet” to the end of such statements and watch your energies shift in a positive way! Attracting people and opportunities in our life is mostly about shifting our awareness and energy.
When we start to look at our lives as a process of learning and growing rather than a to do list of accomplishments to succeed or fail at, we will experience more inner peace, more wellness and ultimately more success.
Having a sense of inner peace and self-confidence sends out waves of energy that the Universe instantly responds to. Our sense of confidence, inner peace and purpose is quickly perceptible by everyone we engage with be it online or in person. Similarly when we act from a place of love, kindness and caring with an open heart and mind people around us can feel that and this opens a gateway of incredible opportunities to us!
We can’t always feel happy, self-confident and connected to our core purpose. In fact life is frequently difficult and full of emotional, financial and health challenges that push us to feel disconnected and even despair. This is normal. You are a caring human being with human feelings and problems.
When we focus on our fears, negative thoughts and feelings and begin to dwell on and in them we create a wave of energy around us that projects our fear and feelings of disconnection. And we often start complaining on social media or in our daily lives because fear and pain hurts. What happens then is we attract a tribe of other fearful hurt people who dwell in scarcity and also spend much of their time complaining. This is why many self-improvement books and speakers advise to forgo complaining as much as possible and instead focus on what we are grateful for. This is so very important to remember. Complain less, appreciate more!

A great deal of our life experiences are influenced by the tens of thousands of thoughts we have every day, most of which are the same thoughts we’ve had the days before of which many tend to be negative thoughts. Our brains have been wired to look for danger because over the thousands of years human beings have been around, being able to see things that pose danger and might for example eat us for lunch out in the wild determined who among us survived to create offspring and who did not. Again, being negative and worried is normal. It’s part of life.
So, knowing that we have a predisposition to look for things that we might fear or that pose a risk to us, one can see how we might want to keep everything the same and avoid new circumstances and changes in our lives. This is why many people in a bad even violent relationship will choose to stay in it rather than face the unknown that leaving represents.
This is also why it’s so easy to get stuck in a habit of complaining about life on social media or watching the most awful stress inducing news or entertainment. It’s a habit of living from a place of fear. Ultimately if we want to attract loving, kind, helpful and healthy people and experiences into our lives we want to move out of fear and into love based thinking.
Love based thinking is very powerful! It’s like having a massive radio broadcasting tower that sends your signal out around the world. It helps to heal our wounds and those of people around us too. It helps us see opportunities to help ourselves and others. Fear, anger, and negativity these are human feelings and perfectly normal. We don’t want to judge ourselves harshly for having them. We want to acknowledge them, feel them, then move through them so we don’t dwell in them because there’s too much life to live ahead of us to mire ourselves in fear.
If you really want to create a new vibe, a new energy that attracts kind, helpful people to your life, it starts by changing your thoughts. How do we communicate with that part in our minds that seeks to keep us from experiencing change? It is a dialogue that happens in a type of whisper. It is happening below the conscious awareness in what is often referred to as our subconscious. Wouldn’t it be great to change that dialogue from conversations that tell us that meeting a new person or starting that new book we want to write might be a serious risk to us and instead change it to words of encouragement, hope and strength?

1. Turn off the TV set especially the negative stream of “news”.
2. Find and watch positive, inspiring, and educational media including music, TED talks, lectures, and or funny videos.
3. Use positive affirmations to start your day that set a positive tone for the rest of your day. A positive affirmation is a declaration of your intentions.
4. Meditate and or pray as frequently as you can to tune yourself into the highest vibrations you can can. Call on your Higher Power to bring you the help and health you need and share your appreciation for all your blessings.
5. Show your appreciation to others wherever you go! Look for opportunities to share a kind word with people in your social media networks and even in line as you go about your errands in town. You’d be amazed how a kind word or action can have a profound impact on someone’s life! And when you do this you change your life too! People will sense this instantly. You will radiate kindness. That is a powerful way to attract kind caring people into your life.

Remember, we have tens of thousands of thoughts every day most of which were the same thoughts we had the previous day and days before that.
